Like many contemporary couples, Randy & Stefani met on a dating app. Bumble to be exact, which literally requires the woman to message first, but Randy never fails to inform anybody that "Stefani made the first move." Can you guess the question Stefani used to break the ice? The couple initially connected over a shared interest in fitness and self development. Soon after meeting, the pandemic afforded the couple (and the dogs, Buda & Colt) increased quantity & quality time together and led them to sharing new experiences. Stefani experienced her first drag race. Randy experienced his first hockey game. All four experienced a wild bear during their first (and last) trip to the Great Dismal Swamp. The couple continues to enjoy attending races, traveling to athletic competitions near & far, and exploring the outdoors.

[spongebob voice] six months later... after initially obtaining the Masterton family blessing in Jan 2022, poor Randy had to wait SIX months while Stefani dragged her feet to plan a trip home to visit family before being able to "pop the question." In typical sneaky Randy fashion, he coordinated an entire family lakeside photo shoot that concluded with the surprise proposal. It was a gorgeous summer day, that included plenty of peanut butter & chocolate treats, friends & family, and fun photos. Fun fact, the couple was engaged on Randy's birthday!
