(Written by Rachel; edited by Keenan) I had been hearing about Keenan for close to 3 years before we finally met that fateful day on December 27th, 2019. My college roommate, Caroline Gaudreau, would tell me often that her boyfriend's roommate (and childhood friend) was perfect for me. But alas, our paths never crossed. That was until Caroline and Will's wedding in 2019. Caroline had a plan - you could see it in her eyes. It was definitely not planned that he was to be my wedding escort. As any girl would, I stalked Keenan on social media heavily before meeting him. Heck, I even followed him on Instagram and messaged him before the wedding to see if he could dance! I'm not subtle, ok? But, despite all that, I knew he lived over 3 hours away from me and realistically this would never turn into anything. Who starts a relationship long distance these days? Fast forward to the wedding rehearsal. I walked into that church with my heart pounding ready to meet this guy I had heard so much about. I walk in, and immediately start looking for him... he wasn't there. Keenan was LATE. What kind of first impression was that? When he finally got to the church and made his grand, LATE entrance, all I could hear was my heart pounding in my ears and I avoided eye contact at all costs. You know, had to play aloof. But from the moment we locked eyes and started talking to one another, I knew I was in trouble. I won't make this story much longer, props to you if you made it this far. But from the moment Keenan and I walked down that aisle as groomsman and bridesmaid, I knew we would be doing this again at our own wedding, as husband and wife. And guess what, I was right! We cannot thank Caroline and Will enough for introducing us and playing the long game in getting us together. We're so excited to celebrate with you all and are so grateful for the role each and every one of you played in getting us to our wedding day!
