Flights to Dublin

We recommend flying into Dublin, as it is the closest airport to all of the wedding festivities. One of the best ways to track flights for your travel dates is using the Hopper app which recommends whether to book or wait for a better deal. Google Flights is another helpful tool with their price graph, especially if you have flexible travel dates. Out of O'Hare, there are multiple non-stop flights per day to Dublin on Aer Lingus, American, and United. Out of Dulles, there are two non-stop flights per day to Dublin on Aer Lingus and United. *Also when traveling home and you have a flight to anywhere in the US, note that you'll go through US customs in Dublin rather than your US destination. You'll want to build in time at the airport when returning home.

Travel Note

Travel to and From Dublin Airport

If you won't be renting a car, it is easy to get to and from Dublin Airport to the city center. By bus, the Airlink Express service will bring you directly to Dublin city center, Heuston and Connolly rail stations. A single ticket is €6 and a return is €11. Taxis are available and the estimated cost to the city center is between €25-30.

Shuttle

Shuttle to Virginia, Co. Cavan

June 22, 2023 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

If you do not want to rent a car or drive to Virginia, we will be arranging a shuttle to take guests to Virginia Park Lodge and the other accommodations the evening before the wedding. Guests who have RSVP'd for the shuttle will be picked up along the south end of Merrion Square in Dublin. There is coach parking along the south side of the square. The shuttle will have a sign that reads, "Keelin McGee and Neil Ryan Wedding". Please let Keelin & Neil know if you have any questions.

Train

Bus to Virginia, Co. Cavan

If you're unable to make the shuttle and do not have a car, there are also Bus Éireann buses that leave from Dublin city center and stop in Virginia, Co. Cavan. The bus lines that stop in Virginia are 30, X30, 109, and 109X, which take between 1.5-2 hours. You'll leave from Dublin (Busáras) with Virginia as your destination. One-way fare is less than €20.

We have Virginia Park Lodge booked on Thursday and Friday nights, with rooms available for these two nights. This is where we will be hosting the welcome BBQ and reception. Shuttle

Shuttle to Dublin

We will provide a return shuttle from Virginia Park Lodge and other accommodations back to Dublin on Saturday. The shuttle will leave Virginia Park Lodge and other accommodations at 11:00 am when check-out is for accommodations. The shuttles will return to the south side of Merrion Square in Dublin.
