Take a leisurely walk along the cobblestone streets of Fell’s Point, one of Baltimore’s most charming and historic waterfront neighborhoods. This area is known for its boutique shops, harbor views, and incredible seafood. Thames Street Oyster House is one of our favorites for Maryland crab cakes and oysters - an ideal stop for lunch or a sunset cocktail by the water. If you are staying nearby at the Sagamore Pendry or The William Fell Inn (two of our wedding host hotels) you'll be right in the heart of all of it!
Built in 1903, The Belvedere was Baltimore’s first luxury hotel and quickly became known as the “Crown Jewel of Baltimore” for its stunning beaux-arts architecture and storied guest list, which included presidents and celebrities alike. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Belvedere’s timeless charm and grand architecture continue to make it one of the city’s most iconic landmarks! We fell in love the moment we stepped foot in this former hotel and it is the perfect setting for our wedding weekend. We hope you love it too!
Home to The Belvedere, Mount Vernon is one of Baltimore’s most historic neighborhoods, known for its elegant 19th-century architecture, gardens, and cultural landmarks. It’s also home to the iconic Washington Monument, the first built in honor of George Washington. With its beautiful parks, museums, and galleries, it’s the perfect place for a quiet morning stroll or coffee before the festivities begin.
Nestled inside the historic Belvedere, The Owl Bar is a Prohibition-era speakeasy filled with character and old-world allure. Originally opened in 1903, it became a local favorite during the 1920s when glowing owl statues signaled whether it was safe to enjoy a hidden cocktail. Today, it’s a Baltimore staple and the perfect spot for a pre-ceremony toast or late-night drink surrounded by history.
The Walters Art Museum is one of Baltimore's cultural treasures. Home to European paintings, ancient artifacts, and decorative arts, it's perfect for a quiet afternoon surrounded by old-world beauty. Best of all, admission is free!
One of our favorite spots to visit with Blaire, especially on a chilly or rainy day! The floor to ceiling shark tanks, tropical rainforest, glowing jellyfish, and dolphins make the aquarium magical. Its the perfect cozy indoor outing for anyone visiting during our wedding weekend!
Harbor East is a vibrant, upscale waterfront district offering some of Baltimore’s best dining, shopping, and views. Local favorites include Tagliata, Maximon, and Azumi; or you can ride the elevator to the top of the Four Seasons for sweeping harbor views and cocktails at The Bygone, an Art Deco-inspired rooftop bar with 1920s flair. If you are staying at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront (one of our host hotels), you'll be steps away!
