This is a Black-Tie Preferred celebration due to the nature of this glamorous venue! Gentlemen: Tuxedos are strongly preferred to match the historic setting of our venue. Black tuxedos paired with a white dress shirt and bow tie are encouraged. If a tuxedo is truly not an option for you, a dark formal suit with a white shirt and dark tie is acceptable as a backup. A jacket is required for the evening (until it’s time to break it down on the dance floor!). Ladies: Floor-length formal gowns are preferred, or formal cocktail dresses. We kindly ask that guests reserve shades of white, ivory, and cream for the bride. To maintain the elevated atmosphere of our venue, please avoid jeans, polos, sneakers, work boots, or other casual attire. We are so excited to share an evening of elegance together!

Answer
Renting a tuxedo is often very similar in price to renting a suit! If you choose to rent for the evening, a black tuxedo is our preferred choice to match our venue. Our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of our sweet Blaire! While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that you take the night off and enjoy a date night with us.

Due to space constraints, attendance is limited to those named on your invitation. If your invitation specifies “and Guest,” a plus-one is warmly welcomed! Otherwise, we ask that you join us solo so we can keep our celebration intimate.

Please plan to arrive between 4:45 PM and 5:15 PM. Ballroom doors open at 5:00 PM, and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Driving / Rideshare: We recommend arriving around 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM. Arriving early? Grab a pre-ceremony drink downstairs at The Owl Bar (the historic speakeasy on property!) until doors open at 5:00 PM. Shuttle Guests: Pickups depart from the Pendry Hotel at 4:30 PM (arriving at 4:45 PM) and 5:00 PM (arriving at 5:15 PM). Guests on the 4:30 PM shuttle are welcome to pop into The Owl Bar until doors open! Please be in your seats no later than 5:20 PM.

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors at The Belvedere in downtown Baltimore! You’ll move seamlessly from vows to cocktails to dinner and dancing across different ballrooms - check out our 'Schedule of Events' page for room locations. A complimentary coat check will be available upon arrival, as November in Baltimore can get chilly!

We are having a strictly unplugged ceremony. We kindly, but firmly, ask that all phones, cameras, and devices be turned completely off and tucked out of sight until cocktail hour. We’ve hired an incredible team of professionals to capture every angle (and trust us, their gear is vastly superior to an iPhone camera!). We promise to share the photos with everyone as soon as we get them back. Help us keep our aisle clear and stay fully present with us as we say "I do!"

Yes! Following the ceremony, we’ll celebrate with a cocktail hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a formal seated dinner and an open bar. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please make sure to indicate them when you submit your RSVP so our caterers can accommodate you.

While historic and iconic, The Belvedere no longer functions as an operating hotel and does not offer overnight accommodations. To make travel simple, we’ve put together room blocks and recommendations for nearby hotels under our Travel tab.
