Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
World famous natural outdoor venue. During the day, there are lots of little hikes around, and it offers a great view of the city. You'll often find people working out on the steps during the day. If you want to catch a show, keep an eye on the Red Rocks website. Tickets go fast, but it's an incredible experience if you can make it
Staunton State Park
Literally a mile down the road from our wedding venue, this is a nice state park with a good mix of easy to harder trails and some nice picnic areas at the base. Lots to explore and usually a good amount of shade, great daytime activity before the wedding if you're up to it. Just don't forget to bring water!
Downtown Morrison
Great little street full of small shops, ice cream, and restaurants in Bear Creek Canyon not far from the hotel.
Downtown Golden
Bigger than Morrison, Golden is home to the Coors Brewery, the Colorado School of Mines, as well as a lot of local places to shop and eat. The Golden Mill is a great place to grab a drink and sit outside, or you can go tubing down Clear Creek, do a Coors Brewery Tour, or just take in the local shops in the town.
