The Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)

SBA is the closest airport- 10 miles from Downtown Santa Barbara, and just 14 miles from the church. Although there are fewer flights into this airport, this is the closest and most convenient airport. The Santa Barbara airport provides a convenient and comfortable travel experience for passengers traveling to and from the central coast of California.

The Los Angeles Airport (LAX)

LAX is the largest nearby airport and has the most available flights from around the country. LAX is southeast of Santa Barbara, California and the travel time to Santa Barbara can vary depending on traffic conditions, but it typically takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours to drive. If you are new to California, we HIGHLY recommend taking Highway 1 from LAX to Santa Barbara! The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), is a scenic roadway that winds through the picturesque coastal city of Malibu in Southern California. The stretch of Highway 1 in Malibu is famous for its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, rugged cliffs, and beautiful beaches. If you fly into LAX, we recommend you rent a car or take the Santa Barbara Airbus (sbairbus.com). The Airbus has 8 daily shuttles between LAX and Santa Barbara. Pro-Tip: LAX is typically least trafficed between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)

A little over 2 hours from Santa Barbara, Hollywood Burbank Airport (Bob Hope Airport) is another good option. It is MUCH less hectic than LAX, while being almost the same distance away.
