Garden/Cocktail Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators. Feeling more formal? You do you.
The Thai ceremony will require more modest attire, so women should cover their shoulders and avoid short dresses or skirts. It is considered unlucky to wear black at a Thai wedding, so women should avoid black dresses or tops, and no black ties or black shirts for men. Black shoes and/or black pants are perfectly fine. CEREMONY SCHEDULE • Monks chanting of Buddhist scriptures • Offering to Monks • Procession of the Khan maak (2:30) • Gate Guarding • Formal marriage ceremony • Bride & groom greet guests • Paying respect to elders (3:00) • Water-pouring blessing ceremony (3:30)
