On November 15, 2021, Kristine and Oscar matched via the app, Coffee Meets Bagel. Oscar liked Kristine's eyes and smile and that she had diverse hobbies and liked board games. Kristine liked that Oscar tries to see the best in people and thought, "Eh, why not?" Shortly after, Oscar wanted to make sure Kristine wasn't catfishing him and insisted on a video date on November 21, 2021. They had their first in-person date on December 6, 2021 at a Warriors game. Fast forward one year minus three days, Oscar proposed on December 3, 2022 at the exact spot of their first kiss. On January 15, 2023, before Kristine's mom, Daisy, passed away, Oscar and Kristine had a small wedding blessing. Kristine and Oscar have known each other for a relatively short time, but in that time they experienced life's highs and lows. Oscar supported Kristine through the most difficult times in her life, is patient when she's frustrated, and makes her laugh. Kristine keeps Oscar honest, ensures he stays on track, and makes him giggle. Together, things like Costco trips, grocery shopping, and trying new boba, are everyday adventures.
