FAQs

Question

Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

YES! I find this to be a silly question for a wedding. Our baby boy, Maximus, will be 6 months old on the day of our ceremony. We want to fill our church and reception venue with as many kids as possible!

Question

Do I Have a Plus-One?

Answer

In most cases, both your name and your significant other's name (as well as names of your children, if applicable) are already included on your official invitation. For single invitations, a plus-one is included if specified.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Formal. We will be having a traditional Nuptial Mass at the Catholic Church, so we kindly ask guests to dress appropriately for the sacred setting. Men should wear suits or tuxedos, and women should wear elegant dresses or formal attire. The dress code provided by the church is as follows: Everyone publicly participating in the wedding must present themselves in a way that honors the sacred space of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Please honor the Cardinal Virtues of the Catholic Faith, which are Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance. The Catholic Church believes virtues to be supernatural and infused into the soul at baptism. They are the foundation of Christian moral life and are a habitual and firm disposition to do the good. Guests and members of the wedding party are not permitted to show tattoos, cross dress, display cleavage, or wear any attire that may be considered immodest. Public participation in a Catholic wedding is a privilege and not a right and must conform to Catholic moral standards.
