Kaytelynn and Laif’s story began at Briarbrook Golf Course, where Kaytelynn was working as a cart girl and Laif was golfing with his teammates. Months later, he reached out and told her she was the best cart girl he had ever met, and that message led to their first date. They went to Mac N Cheesy’s and then spent hours driving around, talking and getting to know each other. They navigated long distance until Kaytelynn moved back home to Joplin. At Sami’s Diner, their favorite breakfast spot, Laif asked her to be his girlfriend. Shortly after they began dating, Kaytelynn experienced the loss of her mom. During one of the most difficult seasons of her life, Laif was her steady rock, loving her with patience, strength, and faith. Together they leaned on the Lord and on one another, and their relationship grew deeper through it. While Laif played baseball at Missouri Southern, Kaytelynn attended every game she could and proudly became his biggest cheerleader. Between baseball seasons, countless dates at their favorite Mexican restaurant, Habaneros, and even her first trip out of the country together, their love continued to grow. Laif later proposed at Kaytelynn’s family homestead, on the dock by the pond where they have spent many evenings fishing together. After she said yes, they celebrated with family and friends at Keltoi Winery, one of their favorite date spots. Since getting engaged, they have moved to Laif’s hometown, purchased their first home together, and are excitedly building this next chapter side by side. They cannot wait to gather all of the people they love in one place to celebrate the beginning of their forever and the faithfulness that has guided their story.
