If you're here early or looking for a relaxing day activity, we absolutely recommend Barton Springs Pool. Say you're an Austin local for $3 entry and enjoy this natural spring with downtown skyline views.

Congress Bridge Bats

If you're looking for something VERY Austin, head to the Congress Avenue bridge just before sunset. Thousands of bats fly out every night, and it gathers quite the crowd. Then pop across the river to walk Congress Avenue or enjoy a drink at Yeti's Barrrrr.

Greetings From Austin Mural

It's a must-stop for almost every Austin visitor. Located close to the SoCo district and Torchy's Tacos, you have to take a photo with this fun mural. Then, drive around to see some of the cute are houses or grab a drink or shop near SoCo.

If you're looking for a great place to hike or run, the Greenbelt is the best! There are many different entrances, but our favorite is for Sculpture Falls.

Pennybacker Bridge

Also known as Pennybacker Bridge, this view is iconic and one of. the most famous places for photos in Austin. From the 360 Overlook, you can see the Colorado River, West Lake Hills and Austin skyline.

This famous street is the perfect place to bar hop and get a true feel for Austin, and each bar is made from converted craftsman-style homes. Whether you're at Un-Bar-Lievable (circus-themed bar), Container Bar (made from shipping containers) or Bungalow, Rainey is the perfect hangout spot night or day.

Lovingly referred to as "Dirty Sixth" or just "Dirty" by locals, this strip of downtown-Austin bars is where you go for a crazy night out. On Friday and Saturday nights it becomes Bourbon Street's younger brother flooding with tourists, bachelorette parties and street performers.

Called "West" by Austinites, this portion of Sixth Street is where you go for a fun night without the tourists. A few of our favorite bars are Greenlight Social (ask for a Capri Sun), Dogwood (play the Ring Game) and KungFu (Free arcade games on Sundays).

The Hill Country is riddled with hundreds of wineries, all with their own personality. If you're free for a day, drive out and see the sights! A two of our favorites are Wimberley Valley Winery and Bell Springs Winery. If you're looking for a day trip, drive out to Fredericksburg for better wine and quaint shopping.

This restaurant is perfect for a family dinner or date night, and it is situated in a converted Electric Plant. Make reservations on OpenTable ahead, then eat in the Bar + Grill, watch the sunset from the Observatory and grab a drink in the speakeasy-style Boiler Room.

This is yummy, home-style Italian with the best atmosphere. Every guest who visits us gets a trip to Juliet no matter the time of year. The cheese has even been known to turn Vegans hehehe.
