Question

What are these pronouns?

Answer

Bokang goes by he / it because it feels that those pronouns best describe what they feel on the inside. Kaamari goes by he / him because they don't feel like they are the sex they were assigned at birth. Both Kay and Foxx are transgender, or someone who does not feel that the sex assigned at birth and the gender associated with it are the same. While Bokang may not transition, or change physically, Kaamari will, as he is a transman, or someone assigned female at birth but feels that they are a male.

Question

Do I have to call you by these pronouns?

Answer

We'd definitely appreciate using our preferred pronouns and understand it may be hard separating perception. It's also nice to neutralize the pronoun by calling either of us by our name, nickname, or simply by "they." But, if you love and respect us, you will call us by our pronouns. If you feel too uncomfortable to call either of us by our preferred pronouns, we kindly ask that you do not attend the ceremony.
