We are high school sweethearts! We met in our automotive class but became teacher assistance were we got to spend more time together and were quick to get to know each other better. With him always copying my homework and helping me with my wiring (finally after 2 years of asking), we were quick to fall in love! With his creative and passionate mind for all things automotive and my curious mind of wanting to know more and in need of getting to know him more we bonded with each class and 8 years later I will be taking his last name.
After the long wait of 7 years a quick and last minute (or so I thought) ride up to Bear Valley to watch the sunset over the snowy mountains quickly became a day I would never forget. Wyatt acted so calm and collected I had no idea the ring was sitting in his Dodge center consul. We were quick to hike up to the top of the mountain to catch the glimpse of the sunset with our little Queensland, running wild. I still had no idea and that this was any other sunset date that we’ve had before until I noticed that Wyatt was setting up his camera for a video saying his mom wanted a picture. He quickly became nervous, his hand, shaky and clammy and his voice starting to crack. As I’m watching our corky Queensland run around in the snow, Wyatt looks down at me and says “ I’ve been thinking about this for a long time” and before my eyes, he gets down on one knee and opens the ring box to this incredible and super sentimental engagement ring after seven long years, I finally hear the words “ will you marry me” without any hesitation, I said yes, jumping up and down with joy, knowing that I was finally going to marry the man that I always knew I would spend the rest of my life with. Like I said a normal day with a normal car ride with a normal sunset that quickly became one of the best days of my life.
