Prior to the big move across the country from Florida to Seattle, we said "I Do" in a small courthouse ceremony surrounded by immediate family on May 03, 2019. We planned a big formal wedding to exchange vows and celebrate with family and friends for July 2020. Due to the pandemic, the wedding was indefinitely postponed. While it may have not been what we originally planned we realized our small ceremony had what was most important to us: our love witnessed by our families. Over time, our dream of a large wedding gave way to another dream of ours: owning a home. On November 02, 2021, we used the wedding piggy bank and bought our first home in Lynnwood, WA. In addition, we had wedding portraits taken in our formal wedding attire for us to cherish (stay tuned for the photos!). While we would have loved to have all our friends and family together to celebrate, we could not be happier. We thank you all for the continued love and support over the years. A weekend getaway to one of our favorite places, St. Augustine, Florida turned into the most memorable of days. Our day was started by going to the beach for the afternoon with dinner at Scarlett O'Hara's. The night was ended with a walk down to the pier with a special question complete with a handmade ring box. Cesar was nervous and KayLyn asked "are you sure??!".

KayLyn was living in Orlando working on her Masters in Social Work while Cesar was studying to be an Aerospace Engineer. The two met through mutual friends, who are also both in the wedding party! KayLyn and Cesar quickly bonded over their similar taste in music and laid back personalities. The couple became inseparable pretty fast watching sports games at their favorite sports bar, Friendly Confines, and binge watching Netflix favorites.
