It all started on December 2022—a snowy Minnesota night. The plan was to meet at Saint Paul Brewing… except someone (looking at you, Sean) forgot to check if it was open. Spoiler: it wasn’t. Thankfully, The Bulldog was nearby and became the backup plan. As Kaylie was getting ready to leave the house, her stepdad casually said, “This guy must be something special if you’re willing to drive in the snow.” And he was right. Kaylie hates driving in the snow, but she showed up anyway. We ended up talking a few hours straight—about life, family, friends, hobbies, the highs & lows—until we realized the snow hadn’t let up and it was probably time to head home. By February 2023, Sean made it official, and the adventures continued. In our first year together, we took trips to Milwaukee to visit Tony, Allison, and baby Emmitt, and traveled to Arizona with Kaylie’s family to visit her sister and Maid of Honor, Matisyn. We made memories close to home too—nights at Station 280 with friends, cozy date nights around the Twin Cities, & lots of time with family here in Minnesota. In 2024, we moved into our apartment together in Edina, MN where we loved walking the paths near Centennial Lakes and grabbing coffee nearby. After a year, we moved to Hopkins, settling near Mainstreet and the downtown area. We love a date night on a dog friendly patio. Then came Rigatoni—aka Rigs—our mini Bernedoodle and newest (& fluffiest) best friend! He joined the family in late August 2025 & immediately took over their hearts (and our couch). From a first date detour to The Bulldog to weekend walks with Rigs, it’s been a journey full of good conversations, great company, and a lot of laughs.
