Transportation
We'll be providing shuttle service to and from the wedding venue, Mount Ida Lodge. We encourage all guests to take the shuttle! Shuttles will depart from the Hyatt Place and the Omni at 3:45pm (the Omni is a short walk from Home2Suites) and will be available to transport guests to and from the venue. There will be buses leaving the wedding reception at 10pm and 11pm and will stop at both hotels. For guests who prefer to drive themselves, there is ample on-site parking available. As a reminder, the wedding venue is called The Lodge at Mount Ida. This is separate from the Mount Ida Tasting Room. GPS, Google Maps, and other similar apps do not always provide a reliable route to the venue. Here are the directions from Route 64: 1. Take exit 121 Scottesville/Charlottesville. 2. Head toward Scottsville onto Route 20 South (travel approx. 6-7 miles). 3. Turn left onto Carter Mountain Road. 4. Take an immediate right onto Secretarys Road (travel approx. 3 miles until you reach a 4-way stop). 5. At 4-way stop turn right onto Blenheim Road (travel approx. 2.5-3 miles). 6. When you arrive to the black and gold “The Lodge” sign on the left, turn left onto Moonlight. 7. Drive through the open iron gates. 8. Follow Moonlight Drive until you reach the Lodge. Please note that while ride-sharing services may be available to the venue, it may be difficult to secure a ride back to your hotel at the end of the night, as the venue is located approximately 30 minutes outside of Charlottesville.

Home2Suites is steps from the downtown mall and walkable to the Saturday morning farmer's market at the IX Park! Note: We will not have a shuttle departing directly from this hotel. You'll need to catch the shuttle from the Omni (2 blocks away from Home2Suites). The $309 group rate is available August 29th - August 31st, 2025. Please book by July 30th to secure the discounted rate. Check in time is at 4pm.

Omni Charlottesville Hotel
Unfortunately, our room block is now full and the discounted rate is no longer available. However, you may still be able to book a room at full price. The Omni is located on Charlottesville's historic downtown mall, a half mile pedestrian mall full of local restaurants, shops, and bars. Our wedding is the first home football game of the year, and the annual Paint the Town Orange parade will be on the downtown mall on Friday, August 29th. Check in time is at 4pm. You can secure an early check-in at noon for a $65 fee.
Flight
Airports
The closest airport is Charlottesville, Virginia. However, it is a small airport with limited flight options. You'll likely find cheaper flights and reasonable rental cars at Richmond airport (RIC), which is ~1 hr 15 min from Charlottesville. Dulles airport (IAD) outside of Washington DC is ~1 hr 45 min from Charlottesville and has lots of flights.
