Surprisingly we met on Facebook Dating. Both of us had almost given up on the dating websites after trying and trying but then on July 16, 2023, we both matched and Logan reached out first to say Hello! From then on, we had never stopped talking and decided to go on our first date to Texas Rodehouse on August 5th, 2023. You can ask my mom, I was beyond nervous, because he gave those little butterflies in my stomach. After having a nice dinner, we walked to his car, and he kissed me for the first time. We definitely went out on a second date, and he asked me to be his girlfriend on August 13th, 2023. I always say that my grandma chose him for me because we matched and started talking on her birthday after I had been all upset about this being the first birthday without her on this earth. Then she led Logan to me. Thank you, grandma.
So, you can ask Logan that I literally had kept asking when he was going to propose. I knew that I just needed to wait and be patient, because I figured that it was going to happen soon. A lot of my friends thought that he was going to wait until I graduated college (Which is May of 2025). I kind of had some suspension that the proposal was going to happen when it did because I told him that I wanted there to be someone to record it and he told me that there was going to be plenty of people. I also had told him that he needed to get a beard trim and haircut before he proposed, and he did. I knew that he had already asked my dad because we were up in Indianapolis and that was his only time to ask my dad, so I knew that it was coming soon. We were up in La Plata, MO which is one of Logan's favorite train spots. We also have some really good friends down there and we were going to help decorate the Amtrak station for Christmas. We had been decorating, and it was time for Amtrak to come in. We all went outside and watched as it came in and people got off the train and met up with their loved ones. I had told Logan that I needed to use the bathroom, and he had told me to wait. I was kind of getting cranky and asked why he wouldn't let me use the bathroom and he told me to wait until Amtrak had left. So, Amtrak honks their horn and begins to pull off as we are waving and once the train is gone, everyone begins to crowd around and pull their phones out and then Logan grabbed my hand, and I knew that I was about to get engaged. It is funny because Logan did this proposal in front of a Virtual Railfan camera, meaning that over 600 people were watching us get engaged, but it overall was perfect. You can hear me say in the clip, "I GOT TO GO CALL MY MOM!" I was surprised how he did it and then I spent the rest of the night calling all of my family and friends and just being in awe of the beautiful ring that Logan picked out!
