We got married! Now it's time to celebrate.

It's the classic boy meets Mom's best friend story. You know the one. Mom invites girl over for game night, girl thinks boy is cold and dead inside... so naturally they fall in love. They first truly got to know each other through music. Kayla asked Zach to send her a playlist. So, several months later, after meticulously perfecting an impeccable arrangement, he did. Although Kayla told him that it was, "thoroughly enjoyed", it was later revealed she thought it was a pretty strange collection. She immediately responded with a playlist of her own. The genius of it was insulting. When Zach's sister got married, he took Kayla with him as his plus one as a favor to his mom. They got to hang out and talk much of the night. It was a lot of fun, so a week later, while stopped at a red light, he asked her on a date. With a finger in the air, she said, "uhh.. bad idea.." Feeling the palpable tension, Kayla decided that he would not be allowed to go home until she was sure they were on good terms. They ended up at Kayla's house, where the spent the rest of the night playing music - which was more of just Zach playing music and Kayla nervously giggling. A few weeks later, Kayla invited Zach to a friend's birthday party. After a particularly embarrassing game of catch phrase, and a little too much tequila, she kissed him. She knew this special dingus was for her, but there was a catch. She had to ask Carol, Zach's mom, for permission to date him. Kayla approached the iron throne and presented Carol an offer no mother could refuse - three rats and a squirrel in return for her first born son. Many dinner dates, a couple of plays, and an album of songs later, Kayla said, "yes".
