Kayla and Tyler’s story actually started back in 7th grade, on the basketball court. Both of them had crushes on each other, though neither ever said a word. One night, Kayla was hanging out in Tyler’s neighborhood, and they ended up playing basketball outside his house with friends. She tried the classic “I’m cold” move, and Tyler, being Tyler, handed over his sweatshirt. Of course, Kayla was swooning at this point. That is, until he asked for it back at the end of the night. After that, they drifted apart for a few years. But fate has a funny way of showing up, and the summer before sophomore year, Tyler was throwing an end-of-summer pool party. Kayla wasn’t on the original guest list—her friends were, of course—but in a last-minute twist of luck, she got an invite. That night quite literally changed everything, even though neither of them realized it at the time. One night of swimming, laughter, and maybe a little harmless flirting, was the start of their forever. From that point on, they were basically inseparable. They joked, teased, and supported each other through high school, college, and the transition to adulthood and even though it might sound corny, it really was like love at first sight. They quickly discovered that "when you know, you know" feeling... VERY soon after that pool party, they were saying things like, “I can’t wait to marry you.” Friends and family shook their heads and rolled their eyes, warning them that they were moving too fast, too young, maybe even crazy—but neither Kayla nor Tyler cared. They knew they had found something special. Years later, after countless adventures, inside jokes, and memories that span from awkward middle school moments to teenage triumphs, to weekends in college, and to starting their "big girl" and "big boy" jobs, here they are: high school sweethearts getting married. It’s a story full of heart, and a little bit of chaos, but most importantly, it’s a story that proves that some things are just meant to be.
