Monti Sibillini National Park + Norcia
We hiked in this region and absolutely loved it. A unique landscape in the center of Italy with an incredibly beautiful plateau around the village. (about 1 hour from wedding venue)
Trevi
Torge and I explored this ancient hilltop village and loved wandering through its old streets. It’s just a 15-minute drive from our wedding venue! The town is recognized as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in Italy’ and has also been named a ‘Slow City.’ Definitely worth checking out!
Tenuta Castelbuono
For wine enthusiasts: Tenuta Castelbuono is managed by the Lunelli family, known for their Trento DOC Ferrari sparkling wines. Enjoy exceptional wines while taking in the beautiful architecture and landscape. (20 minutes from wedding venue)
Bevagna
Walk around the historic nearby town of Bevagna. Buildings dating back to 90 bC. (15 minutes from wedding venue)
Marmore Falls
Marmore Falls is a tiered, man-made waterfall in Italy, created by the Romans in 271 BC. At 165m tall, it is the largest man-made waterfall in the world. (1 hour from wedding venue)
Tuscany
Explore the world famous Tuscany region. The diverse natural landscape stretches from the rugged Apennines to the beaches of the island of Elba on the Tyrrhenian Sea to the olive groves and vineyards of the Chianti region. (about 2.5 hours from wedding venue)
Parco Naturale Regionale di Porto Venere
Rugged nature park with walking trails, village restaurants and a fortress ruin from the 19th century. (about 4 hours from wedding venue)
San Fruttuoso
You can either hike or boat to this special little spot! We chose to hike down and enjoyed a (overpriced) beer at the bottom. Worth it? Yes! (about 4.5 hours from wedding venue) The hike is short, but quite steep in spots. We recommend decent footwear.
