There are lots of beautiful trails to check out on the grounds and a very cool wildlife exhibit. We highly recommend visiting the wildlife center which is free. Wolves, bison, and foxes are just a few of the animals you can see up close in this area of the park. There is a nearby observation tower where you can get a nice view of the area! Parking is free.
Devil's Lake is arguably one of the most scenic State Parks in Wisconsin. If you are in the mood for an adventure, hike up the bluffs and check out Devil's Doorway. I wouldn't recommend climbing into the doorway like we did in the picture above, but the view itself is worth the trek. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and paddle boards are available for rental at the concessions stand, or you can relax on the beach and watch others try those things! If you do not have a State Park pass, it will cost you $13 per vehicle for Wisconsin residents and $16 per vehicle for non-residents.
A perfect outdoor activity for a sunny day! It doesn't cost anything to ride the Lodi Ferry, and there are ice cream shops on both sides. We prefer the Merrimac Scoop which also has other food options in addition to ice cream! You can park your car and walk on to the ferry or drive your car on to the ferry and hop out to enjoy the sunshine for the duration of the ride (about 7 minutes.) Plan ahead, because if it is a hot day there will most definitely be a wait (another great reason to get an ice cream cone, if you needed more than one!) This is a HUGE fan favorite for kids. It is a hop and skip away from our venue, but a great option if you plan to make a weekend stay! There are a lot of fun places to visit in the Dells whether you choose to stay overnight or just visit on Sunday!
