The Venue
Avon Hills Folk School is a nonprofit dedicated to building and enriching community through the teaching of traditional skills and knowledge. We are honored that we are able to invite our favorite people to this beautiful place.
It is a rustic venue, and that's what we love about it. Here's what you can expect:
- Being that it's October in Minnesota, weather is unpredictable. Be prepared for anywhere from 35 to 80 degrees, with sun, cold, and bug protection as needed (though the mosquitos should be done by then). There are buildings for shelter if the weather turns inclement, but in the case of truly unruly weather we will keep you posted on alternate plans via this website.
- There are two portapotties, including an Accessible outhouse (that provides a bit more space than the traditional one-stall biffy).
- Parking is limited, so carpool if you can. You will be directed to park upon driving in. Once the far lot is filled, the top lot will open.
- Lots of trails to explore!
