Who would ever think they’d meet their soulmate on a dating app? Well that’s exactly how it happened. After we both swiped right, we met for our first date at Library Bar in Downtown Los Angeles the night before Kayla’s 25th birthday, March 11, 2015. There was an instant connection. We knew we wanted to be together right away and by April Fools Day we made it official. On our Anniversary each year, we joke that our relationship is too good to be true and that one of us must be in on some kind of ongoing April Fools hoax. Soon after the start of our relationship we became roommates which is like having an endless sleepover with your best friend. We learned of one another’s pasts, presents and future goals. Our individual friendships grew to couple friendships. We’ve shared ups and downs and have learned how to support one another. We’ve made many family visits, our favorite, family holidays in Connecticut. We became dog parents to our precious pug Brexley who is our pride and joy. We share our hopes and dreams and plans for a future side by side, hand in hand. After two and a half amazing years together, Kyle asked Ray, Paula, and Wawa’s permission to marry Kayla. Together they planned the perfect proposal. It happened on Christmas Eve 2018, Kayla’s favorite day of every year with all her favorite people. She had no idea it was possible to love that day any more, now it’s her personal holiday. Kayla and Paula began the wedding planning Christmas Day. We’re so excited to celebrate our forever with our family and closest friends. Here’s to right swipes!
