Like many 2020 love stories, ours started on the apps - and quickly moved to FaceTime. Between lockdowns and social distancing, our first few dates were virtual: long talks, laughter, and getting to know each other through a screen. When we finally met in person, Kristin made the trip from the suburbs to Chicago to see Kayla, and we shared our first in-person date at Galway Arms, a cozy Irish pub that’s been “our spot” ever since. We realized early on that we share a deep love for family, a dream of building one of our own, and that we just have a really, really fun time together. After a few years of long(ish)-distance (thank you, Metra, for getting us through that one-hour stretch), Kayla moved to the suburbs with Kristin and their dog, Dash. Four years together, countless adventures, and one very spoiled pup later, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter - surrounded by the people who have supported and loved us from the start.
