We met at the local Irish Pub in Columbus GA, Scruffy Murphy's. I was bartending at the time and John was becoming a 'regular'. One Friday night, I was getting off early and went up to him and asked "Want to grab a drink with me, I'm about to get off." He quickly jumped up and accepted the challenge. The rest is history.

John and I decided to go on a ski trip to Keystone, CO following Christmas with some of our friends. We spent two days in Keystone hitting the slopes. On our last day, we decided to go to Breckinridge to see what their slopes had to offer. To my surprise, they were much more intense. John convinced me to get on the Kensho Superchair to the 6th peak of Breckinridge. When we got off the ski lift which was at a 12,302ft elevation, John said "We have to take a picture by the elevation sign!" As I was getting ready for the photo-op, John got down on one knee. It took me a second to process what was happening but I shouted "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in North Carolina!
