We’re getting married!

Jake and I first met December of 2020. I found my own slice of tall, dark, and handsome in a very modern way… online, via Facebook, lol. One day I was just scrolling through the “people you may know” list, (background info- I was trying to meet some people in the area, since I was still fairly new in town). Once I came across Jake’s profile and saw that we had a few mutual friends, I quickly hit the “friend request” button on that cutie’s page, and it wasn’t long at all until ol’ Jakey slid into my DM’s (direct messages), haha. Jake later actually confessed that he had already seen me while at one of our mutual friends hangout, and that he thought I was, in his words, “super pretty”. I literally had no idea that he already had his eye on me! How cute and what a small world! I knew something told me to hit that request button! Silly, I know. But, true! Jake and I met in person. He was very quickly introduced to my pack of dogs, lol, and my family. We immediately hit it off!! I couldn’t remember the last time I had genuinely laughed SO hard with someone. We’d text ALL day, everyday. We would both take turns asking to hang out just about every day after work. It felt like I was in highschool again. Butterflies ON butterflies! The fun never ceased! We decided to make our dating “Facebook official” and offical to our family and friends on January 3rd, 2021. We made so many more memories that first year together. It was truly amazing… a prayer answered for us both. That following year, in 2022, Jake proposed to me on Christmas Day in front of our loved ones during a family Christmas party hosted at mother’s house (our engagement was another prayer answered, yay!). Family is super important to both Jake and I, and I was so grateful Jake chose to have our special moment surrounded by so many! Living right in the eyes of God and starting a family are what we are focusing on currently in this season of our lives. We both are believers in Jesus Christ, and so getting married is not only a physical and emotional bond for us, but a deeply spiritual bond as well! You can say It didn’t take long for him to put a ring on it! I’m happily bragging on him for that one! I thank God for Jacob everyday and I can’t wait to see what the good Lord has in store for us! Our new adventure begins October, 2024!
