Grandad Bluff
Grandad Bluff has become not only a destination point for thousands, but also a symbol of this great Coulee Region. The 600-ft high bluff overlooks the city of La Crosse. The view of the Mississippi River Valley includes the three states of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Wisconsin Trails readers voted this “the most scenic view in the state”. This is one of the spots that Henry took Kayla on their first date❤️
Riverside Park
The landmark park in La Crosse, Riverside Park is the center of an active community. At the confluence of three rivers, Riverside Park is designed for active lifestyles, and for those that want to just watch the river slowly pass by. Depending on the season, visitors may just be lucky enough to view one of the large steamboats that take port at the levee centered in the park. Make sure to have your cameras ready!
University of Wisconsin–La Crosse
Take a stroll through the beautiful campus that brought Kayla & Henry together❤️ While you're there, make sure you don't walk under the clock tower! If you walk under the clock tower, you won't graduate in four years (or if you're not in college anymore, you'll have really bad luck!) While Kayla was in school, she never walked under the clock tower and she graduated in four years. Henry, however, walked under the clock tower while he was a student and well, let's just say he had an extra victory lap or two😉
The Charmant Hotel
Come and experience the ambiance of the Charmant Hotel's Parlour and enjoy a pastry and artisanal coffee, espresso drink, tea, or signature hot chocolate. In the evening, The Parlour’s comfortable seating and cozy fireplace make it a relaxing spot for sipping wine, champagne, spirits, or cordials paired with chocolates or a light snack. This is one of our favorite spots in La Crosse!
The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor
The Pearl Ice Cream Parlor features a wide selection of our famous homemade ice cream flavors. They use Wisconsin dairy, natural flavor extracts, and premium toppings and inclusions. Their ice cream is made in small batches by hand, daily! Our favorite flavors include Mississippi Mud, Cappuccino Oreo & we also love their chocolate malts with extra malt powder!
Sweet Shop
The Sweet Shop has homemade, hand dipped chocolates, and homemade ice cream! The Sweet Shop makes a fine assortment of homemade candies and ice cream. Some of their most popular candies include turtles, sea salt caramels, and maple creams. All their chocolates are top quality, hand made and hand dipped in house using only the finest milk and dark chocolate.
Rudy's Drive In Restaurant
Classic 1930s-era burger, hot dog & root beer joint, with ice cream & roller-skating carhops. Need we say more?!
