Great Photo Op. Beautiful Place To Watch The Sunrise.
Loved swimming with whale sharks and snorkeling the last time we visited. Super nice crew and they made fresh ceviche for us on the boat. Definitely recommend! There are several tour options so you can find the right adventure for you. You will need to get to Cancun, take a ferry to Isla de Mujeres, and meet the tour there. Let us know if you want more details to plan your trip.
A Must-Do! Visit just one or as many as you’d like. A magical experience, very low cost. Another helpful site for exploring: https://www.twodustytravelers.com/la-ruta-de-los-cenotes/ Adventure Park/Cenote: Kin Ha ATVs, zip lines, horseback riding, cenotes Includes a restaurant https://www.cenoteskinha.com/
Two hour drive from Puerto Morelos. Open 9am-4:30pm. Last Entry at 3:30pm. Estimated Costs (bring pesos if possible): Entrance fee is 100 pesos/$5. Parking fee is 60 pesos/$3. Bike rentals are 50 pesos/$2.50. Guides are usually available, cost TBD. We went five years ago and it was incredible. You can no longer climb the tallest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatán Peninsula (Covid restrictions) but it is worth seeing! Less crowded than Tulum and Chichen Itza. More jungle, no ocean views. You can rent a bike for expediency and/or the romance of it. Two hours here is great with a bike. Three or more are suggested when walking. There is a convenience store by the parking lot if you forget anything.
Choo Ha, Tamcach Ha, and Multum Ha are all underground cenotes close to the Coba ruins. You can even bike there with bike rentals from Coba! Or drive. The first two share a ticket booth with entrances a little distance apart on the same road. Entrance Fee 100 pesos/$5 per cenote. Open 8am-5pm (approximate). Choo Ha, 6km/3mi west of Coba, is in a cave (some stairs) and has shallow waters (water shoes are helpful). Generally quiet. Tamcach Ha is deeper with two jumping platforms. Multum Ha is slightly further down the road and therefore has even fewer people. The deepest of the three cenotes. Take pesos as credit cards aren’t accepted. Bring a swimsuit, towel, water, snacks, a snorkel, water shoes, sunscreen (for after), a waterproof camera, waterproof bag, etc. Restrooms, showers (no sunscreen in the cenotes), and life jackets are available.
Another artisan market is one block south of Town Square.
Tequila and Tapas Tasting. Monday at 4pm, $110. Reserve up to 24 hours in advance.
Approx 50min from Puerto Morelos
Their shuttle service can transport you from your hotel/Airbnb for $10/person.
The attached website has everything you need to know about taking colectivos (a super cheap transport). Use them mostly between Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and for cenotes along the main highway.
