When is shuttle pickup?

Answer

Shuttles will drop off and pick up at the Barcelo Maya Palace lobby. Boat tour: Pickup is 1pm on Thursday, please be ready in the lobby at 12:50pm Wedding: ALL shuttles are picking guests up from the hotel at 4:10pm. Shuttles coming home leave at: 10:30pm, 11pm, and midnight

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We're calling it "beachy chic" - but what does that mean? No jeans, no shorts, no flip flops. Ties, suit jackets, and floor length dresses not required. We recommend jumpsuits, flowy dresses, linen pants with a short sleeve button up, wedges, and casual loafers. The most important thing is that you can DANCE ALL NIGHT in your outfit!

How do I book airport transfer?

Answer

Contact Vacaciones Barcelo either by email or phone to schedule round trip transportation. They will send you a form to fill out with your flight info and the charge will be added to your room bill. Once you exit Cancun airport and are outside you’re not allowed to reenter which is why taxis are extremely expensive. Make sure you book your transportation IN ADVANCE!

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

We don't think so. We'll provide shuttle transportation for the boat tour and the wedding. If you want to do some exploring you can book excursions through the hotel which will include your transportation. The only thing you must do beforehand is book your round trip hotel/airport transportation. Call Vacaciones Barcelo to get that scheduled!

Do we have to stay at Barcelo Maya Palace?

Answer

Barcelo has 6 hotels along the beach that form a sort of hierarchy. Maya Palace gets you entry to all of the other hotels whereas staying at another might not get you entry to Maya Palace. We also plan on providing shuttles to and from the wedding which would pick up near Maya Palace. With that said, feel free to stay at any hotel you want! This is your vacation.

Do I need to wear a mask or upload proof of vaccination?

Answer

We're not requiring proof of vaccination but we strongly recommend getting the new Bivalent booster and limiting your exposure to COVID before the wedding. Masks are optional since our venue is outdoors.

Is this a kid friendly wedding?

Answer

Yes! We realize destination weddings are a big ask so we invite you to make it a family trip. We also realize you might want a break from your children so we leave it entirely up to you.
