Edgar and Kayla attended the same college at the same time, but no...that's not how they met. Edgar works in the same industry as Kayla's sister, but that's not it either. In August 2016 Kayla asked her dad to go hike Angel's Landing in Zion, Utah before she started a new job. Unbeknownst to her, Edgar and his friend Brianne decided to do the same hike after their friend's bachelor party in Las Vegas. On the hike up, the 2 groups crossed paths. They realized they all hailed from Southern California. At the top of the hike they exchanged Snapchats. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Edgar planned a trip for him and Kayla to return to the place where they met. Kayla suspected something might happen because a) he asked for her Pinterest link 6 months prior and b) Edgar isn't usually the one doing the planning. The two were in no condition to be hiking Angel's Landing, so they did a nice walk to the bottom of it. Kayla thought surely this was the moment. Kayla was wrong. Edgar decided to wait one more day before popping the question on a different hike neither of them had done before. He was such a nervous wreck he didn't even bother taking the coffee he had just bought on the hike with them, which really annoyed Kayla because why waste a perfectly good coffee? As you can tell by the fact that you're on our wedding website, Kayla said yes. The real surprise came 2 hours later when they went to the next Air BnB where friends, family, and all the dogs were waiting for a surprise celebration.
