What Time Should I Arrive To The Ceremony?

Answer

Because the ceremony begins promptly at 2:00pm, we recommend you aim to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to park and take your seat. Ensure you leave Calgary early enough as highway traffic can be bad with construction/ accidents.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is cocktail attire. Please no jeans or denim.

What is considered cocktail attire?

Answer

Cocktail attire is semi-formal. Examples for the men include suits, sports coats, dress pants, dress shirts. Examples for the women include formal jumpsuits, cocktail dresses, skirts, or a pantsuit.

Can I bring a guest or plus 1 not listed on the invitation?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself & for your guest/s.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outside?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to take place outside, unless unexpected weather brings it inside. The cocktail hour will take place on the outside patio and indoors.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones on). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I Do". We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. Before and after the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like!

What should we do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

The venue requires 2 hours to transition and set up the reception. From 3-5pm, we suggest you head back to your accommodations to freshen up, have a snack, or explore the town! Please return for our complimentary sparkling cocktail hour at 5pm!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Sort of! We are hosting a toonie bar, which means you will pay $2 for your drinks and we will cover the rest! We will provide a sparkling cocktail hour 5-6pm, where sparkling wine is on us! There will also be a bottle of white and red wine provided at the table.

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Yes! The venue has parking spots available. Since the Nordic Center is considered part of Kananaskis, each vehicle will need to purchase a conservation park pass for each day it is left there. We suggest carpooling with friends/family to the cocktail hour and leaving the car parked overnight. We will be providing a shuttle van to drive guests back to their accommodation at the end of the night. It will make trips from 10pm-2am from the venue to local accommodations in Canmore! Please, absolutely NO drinking and driving.

We kindly request you RSVP no later than July 26, 2025.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we may plan accordingly.

Do you have a wedding gift registry or honeymoon fund?

Answer
