We're getting married!

At the end of August in 2014, they were both at Robert Thirsk High School practicing for tryouts. Kayla in the gym, practicing for volleyball tryouts, and Cullen there for football tryouts. She was in the gym, and he was leaving the locker room walking down the hallway on his way back outside, when he noticed her through the gymnasium doors. They both did a double take, stopped in their steps, and locked eyes. It was in that moment they were both thinking the same thing - who is this person?! I need to know them! It wasn't until a few weeks later when school actually started, Cullen in grade 11 and Kayla in grade 10, that Cullen had somehow discovered who she was and found her Facebook page! He slid into her DM's and the rest is history...

After one year together in high school, Kayla and Cullen decided to call it quits. Right person, wrong time. It wasn't until the Summer of 2016 that the two had reconnected, once again, from Cullen sliding into her DM's (Instagram this time). Cullen was heading off to university in Regina and Kayla was heading into grade 12. But they made a commitment to each other that no matter the distance or the time zone, they never wanted to go on in life without the other by their side. They were better together. And so they were... After almost 4 years of long distance, the pandemic happened (something we all try to forget now)! It brought the two of them back together in the same city. After graduating and working for a year, they moved out and bought their first home together in February of 2023. The decision to expand their family came in June of 2024, when they brought home their fur baby - Henry! Each chapter in life, their love grows stronger and hearts grow bigger.
