With love, Kay and Lacey
Club Silverstone, the local gay bar in Tacoma, Halloween night… Lacey was dressed as a minion, Kay as Spinelli, from the 90s tv show Recess. Kay had enough courage to come and dance with Lacey, after dancing to a couple songs Kay asked Lacey if she could buy her a drink. Lacey was flattered & of course said yes, we waited in the long line of the dance floor bar -all our Tacoma gays know exactly what we're talking about. We finally get to the bartender, order our drinks, bartender tells us the total & at that moment Kay realizes she's wearing a dress with no pockets and doesn’t have her wallet. Lacey graciously laughed and handed her card to the bartender. We joke that technically Lacey bought Kay the first drink that night. Numbers were exchanged and we danced the night away, literally aching the next day from the eventful night before. We got to know each other through long and thoughtful conversations until our next date. Saturday night a week later after work Kay picked up groceries and Lacey made dinner. It had seemed like we had already known each other for a long time, the second date was going so well. We shared that meal with excitement as we got to know each other more & crafted the night away. We have been together even since supporting & loving on one another. Embracing the adventures growing & laughing along the way.
We’re so excited to be celebrating one year of marriage with you in a space that holds deep meaning for us. As longtime members of the Inner Alchemy community, this building is more than just a venue—it’s a place where healing, connection, and transformation happen every day. The event will take place at the historic American Legion Hall in West Seattle. Beneath it lies the Inner Alchemy Sanctuary Studio, a cozy, speakeasy-style space that was hand-dug by veterans who dreamed of dancing and sharing joy. Today, the studio is a beloved spot for yoga, sound baths, meditation, and many other soulful gatherings. We've spent many heartfelt hours here—laughing, healing, resting, and being held in community. The space actually reminds us of Club Silverstone in Tacoma—if you know, you know! 💃🏽✨ As a shared sanctuary, we kindly ask that you remove your shoes when entering the studio space to help us preserve its magic. We also want to honor the greater purpose this space serves. The American Legion Hall is home to West Seattle’s only warming shelter for our unhoused neighbors. We're proud to be volunteers and advocates for this initiative, and we ask you to join us in respecting and uplifting the energy of this place. Thank you for being part of this celebration and for holding space with us in a spot that represents community, care, and so much love.
