Cassidy Brady
Groom
Cassidy Conrad Brady grew up in Mabank, Texas. He is the son of Peggy and Bradley Brady, who have been married for over 36 years. Cassidy attended Mabank High School. Later, Cassidy graduated from Collin College, and then transfered to UT Arlington where he completed his BSW, MSW and a Master of Criminology. Today, Cassidy is a Licensed Master Social Worker for the Tartant County Probate Court. While these accomplishments may seem notable, the most notable thing from his time at UT Arlington is that he met Kay. "The very first time I met Kay I was so captivated. I didn't know that we would end up here then, but I knew I always wanted to be around her." Cassidy explains. That was 2018. He proposed on Labor Day 2020 in Colorado, and the rest is history - with so much more in the making.
Kay Hatfield
Bride
"I think that Cassidy guy likes me." Kay told her mother after they first met. Kay Ellynn Hatfield was born in Denver, Colorado to Cary and Lynda Hatfield, who have been married for over 36 years. After high school Kay attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Coincidentally, this is where Kay's parents met. Kay transferred to UT Arlington, where she met Cassidy while she was completing her BSW. Kay is currently completing her Masters of Social Work. Kay works for the Texas DFPS, reuniting families. "Cassidy is the kindest, most thoughtful and genuine man I have ever met, I truly did not know I could marry such a perfect man." Kay explains The proposal was a definite suprise to Kay, and she looks forward to so many more suprises to come over a lifetime together.
Gwenlynn Sterenberg
Matron of Honor
Gwen Sterenberg is Kay's older sister, and her Matron of Honor. Despite the decade age difference between the two, Kay has always been close to Gwen. Kay was present when Gwen married her husband Justin, with who Gwen shares 5 beautiful children - Scott, Raelynn, Annaleigh, Jacqueline and Micah. Gwen has been a guiding light for Kay throughout her life. They share a bond only two sisters can. Gwen once said of Kay: "Kay is the baby sister I longed for, the little sister I have watched grow into a beautiful woman who is kind, and thoughtful, and fun, and loving. I love her with my whole heart." Among the special moments of her wedding day, Kay counts having Gwen as her Matron of Honor a true highlight. Truly, this is one joyous moments of many that the two have shared.
Breely Greenhaw
Maid of Honor
Breely Greenhaw has been Kay's best friend since childhood, and someone that was so formative in making Kay who she is today. Breely is a proud TCU graduate, and a Veteranarian Tech that is passionate about animal rights. Breely has been aparty to all of the milestones of Cassidy and Kay's relationship, and is a treasured friend to them both. Breely once said of Kay, “Kay is one of the most passionate human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Passionate about her job and to those under her care, about her friendships and family. She is truly the sister of my heart, and I am so very blessed to have been on this journey of life with her.” Kay is so honored to have Breely at her side on her special day, and for the rest of thier lives.
Parker Brady
Best Man
Parker Brady is Cassidy's younger brother and is likely the only person that can match Cassidy's knowledge of the film mega-franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street. Growing up in the small east Texas town of Mabank, Cassidy and Parker spent a great deal of time together. Today, they collectively appreciate those shared experiences immensely. Both forged in the likeness of thier father, Cassidy and Parker rely on one another when times are tough. Parker is a successful car salesman, and has been blessed with his beautiful wife Sarah, and two children - Rylan and Everly. Parker once said of Cassidy: "He is oak. He's unshakable...one of the most deserving men I have met." Cassidy is honored to have Parker beside him as his co-best man.
Mathew Ryan
Best Man
Matthew Ryan is likely Cassidy's closest friend, and someone that Cassidy describes as "the most intellegent person that I know." Cassidy and Matthew met as Freshmen at Collin College, and bonded over a shared love for English literature, whiskey and 90's hip hop. Matthew is a graduate of Collin College, UNT, Villanova, and has been accepted to the PhD program at Catholic University. In addition, Cassidy and Kay were in attendance when Matthew married the love of his life, Kristen, in December 2021. Matthew once said to Cassidy: "It has been such a pleasure to know you while you were becoming 'a man of the people.' You've always had a charisma and desire to help others, and it just makes me proud." Cassidy cannot thank Matthew enough for being a part of this special day as his co-best man.
