Kavi and Anmol met the modern way—on Hinge on March 6th, 2021. Their first date was Kavi's classic choice: coffee, a few rounds of Super Smash Brothers, and a trip to the dog park with Yoshi. It started off pretty casual, with a lot of laughs, bonding over Disney and maybe a little competition (Okay, Kavi kicked his butt at Mario, and honestly, she thought he'd never call her back). With the Pandemic in full swing, there were no restaurants, movie theaters, or typical date spots open. Kavi and Anmol found themselves with a lot of time and nowhere to go. Instead of that slowing them down, it brought them closer together. They spent endless hours talking, exploring, laughing, and learned to be so intentional with one another and their time. Without the usual distractions from the world, they learned what truly mattered—each other. Their relationship grew faster and stronger than they ever imagined. They discovered that home was wherever they were, as long as they were together. Here they are, three years later, and it turns out that losing at Mario wasn't such a bad thing after all. Kavi and Anmol have built a life full of love, laughter, adventure, and the occasional rematch. Here they are, three years later, and Anmol still hasn't beat Kavi at Mario, to this day.
