We're getting married!

We met during the Covid-19 lockdown in August 9th 2020 through a dating app called Bumble. At the time Mike was focused on fitness, adventure, and the nomadic life-style of a solopreneur. Katya was working remotely and seeing what matches were out there for her. Once connected it took Mike 3 tries of asking Katya out, the first date was the worst date ever. We met at the Ocean Beach pier with plans to walk it and watch sunset. Katya got dressed up, made the effort, drove, had to park 10 blocks away, arrived early... while Mike put in ZERO EFFORT, walking his dog Bacon down the block to the pier entrance. Katya was beautiful, well put together and quiet. Mike was lazy and jaded with dating. Bacon was the most excited for sure and was tugging and pulling to walk and sniff in every direction leading the way. It was supposed to be a slow stroll for sunset but turned into a fast-paced pseudo-race to the end of the pier with Bacon leading the way. It was nearly a silent, definitely awkward vibe. As the round-trip ended back at the start of the pier, a whopping 15 minutes give or take, before leaving Katya felt the urge to question the whole thing and was wondering why she just wasted her time and what made Mike think he was so special? To her surprise, Mike shared an exciting life-plan, so Katya decided to give Mike a 2nd chance, with the condition to put in effort, plan ahead, and pick her up in a clean car, bringing flowers. (It was the first and last time his car was ever clean) 2 months and 6 dates later, on a trip to Tahoe, Mike waited until the last day and made his move to win her over for life. (pffttt)… All the while Katya was thinking that Mike was just really shy.... (for those who know Mike... enjoy the laugh as much as he did when she told him that). 4 Years of going back and forth we finally decided to tie the knot.
