James and Kendall first met while attending Eureka College years ago. Kendall was a transfer student who quickly made friends. One friend in particular that introduced the two of them near one of the boys' dorms. While she and James definitely knew of each other, they somehow never really hung out. (Classic “right place, wrong time” situation.) Fast forward a few years, when they both ended up in a mutual friend’s wedding. Suddenly, they went from “oh yeah, I know them” to actually becoming friends. :) Then came the pandemic. With the world on pause and not much else to do, they figured… why not start dating? Their first date was nothing short of awesome, equipped with White Claws, Costco chicken alfredo, and a double feature of Antz and 50 First Dates at Kendall’s apartment in Bloomington. Against all odds, this led to a second date, and now here we are, five years later, engaged and planning a wedding. These days, James and Kendall’s day-to-day life might not look very exciting to some, but it’s full of love, laughter, and usually laughing so hard someone starts wheezing (okay, mostly Kendall). There’s truly never a dull moment, and James is almost always up to something... They’ve been incredibly lucky to have the support of amazing friends and family every step of the way, and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of their favorite people and, of course, throw one heck of a party.
