Question

WHERE ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION LOCATED?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at Walden Chicago. The address is 2145 W Walnut St, Chicago, IL 60612 and more info can be found within our Schedule page.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

While we hope all our invited guests can make it for our wedding weekend, we understand if you are unable come. If you know you won't be attending our wedding after recieving our save the date, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible via phone or email. If you have already recieved our invitation, feel free to RSVP "Not Attending" on our RSVP tab above.

Question

Do you expect any Covid restrictions?

Answer

We are incredibly hopeful that we will be able to celebrate with everyone together without restrictions, as we have planned for the last year. With that said, guidelines and mandates seem to be changing almost daily and it is hard to tell what will be in place come May. We will do everything we can to keep our guests informed about expectations as soon as possible. In the meantime, we strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated, if they aren’t already, to keep themselves and others safer.

Question

Are You Registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Zola and the link is above, for your convenience. We are planning to travel to Italy for our honeymoon sometime in the future. Our wedding registry reflects a few items for our home and future together, but is mostly dedicated to funding our honeymoon travels. We appreciate your generosity!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our official dress code is Semi-Formal. That means a suit for the guys and a cute dress (long or short) for the ladies. However, if that's not your style, then please feel free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable and ready to tear up the dance floor!

Question

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

Yes, check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.

Question

Will there be parking available at Walden Chicago?

Answer

A private parking lot, as well as numerous spaces on the street, will be available to our guests. However, we encourage any guest who can to either take our shuttle to and from the hotel or Lyft/Uber to Walden Chicago. We want you to have fun and be safe!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/ gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

We know many of our guests have specific dietary needs and we hope to accommodate as many as possible. For dinner, we will have a vegan option available and one of our meat options will also be gluten free.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Yes! Beyond our ceremony and reception, we will be having an after-party directly after the reception. There will also be a brunch at The Royal Sonesta from 10-12pm on Monday morning, which everyone is invited to. On Saturday night before the wedding, we are having a small rehearsal dinner for immediate family and the wedding party, but also want to kick off the weekend with all our guests, so if you want to come toast a fantastic weekend with us all are invited to The Royal Sonesta bar in the evening!

Question

I'm thinking about getting an AirBNB for the wedding weekend. Which neighborhoods should I look at?

Answer

While we'd love for all our guests to stay at our suggested hotels, we know that AirBNBs offer an awesome experience and a new way to enjoy the city. If you decide to rent an AirBNB, we'd recommend looking at options in River North (located near our hotels), Gold Coast, Lincoln Park or Lakeview. These options will give you (in our opinion) the best taste of the city. Other neighborhoods to look at include West Loop (closer to Walden Chicago), Wicker Park and Logan Square.

Question

May I take a centerpiece/ candle/ flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

At the end of the night, please leave all centerpieces on the tables. We plan to donate anything not rented to a local charity the next day. Guests will get a planned goodie at the end of the reception to remember our special night.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We absolutely want everyone to take as many pictures throughout the weekend as possible! However, we kindly ask that you do not take pictures during the ceremony itself so our photographers can get the shots they need and we can enjoy that special moment. An announcement about this will be made at the begining of the ceremony as a gentle reminder for anyone who might forget.
