We don’t come to the Island without at least one trip to Crabdaddy’s since its Katy’s “comfort spot”. Besides the Snow Crab, the Shrimp & Grits and Green Bean Casserole are fan favorites but you absolutely cannot pass up the famous Bread Pudding. We suggest making a reservation.
You're either a Crabdaddy's stan or Crab Trap loyal, especially since they're right next to each other... and we have a divided house on the matter. Julien loves the raw bar selection and laid-back, dive bar nature of the Trap. It is known for its tables with "the hole" in the middle used for discarding shells and tails but you also can't go wrong sitting at the bar with the locals.
We think GSG has the best food on the Island. They built their own farm for seasonal produce and only source their fish & meats from local farms. The menu changes constantly but we promise everything is divine! We suggest making a reservation.
It’s the perfect spot for all your fresh seafood cravings in a laid-back setting. Make sure to start with the Red Neck Shooter and end with the Butter Cake. They don’t take reservations so put your name down & head to Brogen’s while you wait.
To quote Julien, “This place is the best!” No one really remembers exactly when Brogen’s became what it is today- an island rite of passage; a well-loved watering hole that symbolizes a laid-back way of life.
No shoes, no shirt, no problem! Perfect beach dive bar for a quick lunch break or to watch some sports with beers & bourbons. You can’t go wrong with any of the mains but make sure you get the Mac & Cheese and Brunswick Stew for your sides!
If you’re looking for a good time, good food, and tasty tequila Bubba’s is your place. It reminds you of a college basement in the best possible way. We love going late night to play pool & darts but you also can’t go wrong heading over to hang during the day.
Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” this former gas station is now a bustling Southern BBQ joint. Each rib gets coated in brown sugar and tupelo honey. The result is super tender ribs and pulled pork with a unique woody smokiness. The Brunswick Stew and Pulled Pork are their specialty.
Start by challenging yourself to climb the Lighthouse steps for a panoramic view. Then, walk along the water to the pier where you’ll see local fisherman hoping their crab traps are full, meet George the Pelican, and see Jekyll Island in the distance. After, make your way up Mallery St. and pop in to all the local shops and stop for a bite. Make sure to try the “hoop game” outside of Frederica Station!
This award-winning golf course is renowned for its challenging layout among ancient forests and vast salt marshes. Make sure to stop in the Hampton Clubhouse on the 9th hole! Individual and group rate tee times can be scheduled through Lyn at lcunningham@mmihg.com. Shuttles are also provided to/ from the King & Prince hotel.
A George Cobb originally designed golf course that has a challenging track, and offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Island. Enjoy sweeping vistas of the surrounding marshes and lagoons, under the live oaks and towering pine trees.
