We try to make it up here at least once a year to visit the restaurant. Our last visit was on our 7-year anniversary in Febraury 2022.
A fantastic (but strenuous) all-day hike up to the Sandia crest. Approximately 7 miles up, where you can find Ten 3 restaurant for a well-earned beer and take the tram down, or hike back down if your legs aren't noodles yet!
A quaint lavender farm and hotel with a delicious restaurant and great view from the patio. Creative cocktails and fantastic dinner and brunch made with fresh, local ingredients. One of our go-to's for date night, but be sure to book ahead!
Marble, Boese, Bosque, Boxing Bear, and La Cumbre are some of our favorites! You may recognize Boxing Bear and La Cumbre as the namesakes of our two huskies (Bear and Cumbre)
Our local climbing gym that we frequent for some fun top-roping and bouldering. You can purchase a day pass and gear rental - no need to have any rock-climbing experience, beginners are welcome! Fun fact: Wes was part of the youth climbing team here back in the day, and also worked here throughout college!
A casino nearby to our wedding venue on the outskirts of Albuquerque. Our go-to spot for an end to a fun evening, despite the hundreds of dollars we've lost to the blackjack and penny slots!
A short trail on the western side of Albuquerque where you can find designs and symbols carved onto volcanic rocks by Native Americans and Spanish settlers dating back 400 - 700 years ago
A quaint spa in the desert of northern New Mexico. One of our favorite places to relax for a long weekend, about 2 hours from Albuquerque (a long day trip or you can also spend the night there in one of their traditional adobe style cottages). There is also a closer one in Santa Fe!
