Some people (including us) are extending this weekend to enjoy some time in the keys. Most are enjoying the time before the wedding arriving on various days. For those unfamiliar, the keys offer a wide variety of ocean based activities. Fishing, snorkeling, diving and kayaking are the most popular. Some may also enjoy renting bikes to explore or pop into the multitude of boutique shops. John Pennekamp State Park is only a few minutes away and offers a beautiful environment. There are countless vendors in the area that provide all services you may be interested in guided and unguided. We have selected this area for our wedding because we believe it has some of the best natural beauty available and we encourage everyone to enjoy it as much as we do. We have also included several food and drink options that we frequent.

Theater of the Sea - Adventure Cruise

This place is a MUST if you are traveling with kids! Think of Sea World, but a lot smaller and more intimate. A great opportunity to get up close and personal with some amazing sea creatures! You can even swim with the dolphins!

For our friends staying at La Jolla, this is just walking distance for you! This is Kyle’s favorite place on the Island. If you can’t find us on the water, or at our rental …. we will probably be here.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

Most of the private outfitters utilize the park's reefs and natural areas for their activities. However, if you wish to venture through the park gates they offer paddle rentals, glass bottom boat tours, boat rentals, boat ramps and a visitor center with aquariums.

Great vegan and gluten free options! Katy loves this place! It is a must stop every time we drive down! Limited hours, so be on the look out!

A Florida Keys staple. This family business has been popular longer than we can remember. We strongly recommend the key lime pie.
