FAQs

Question

Will children be allowed at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event* so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. *There are a few exceptions for children very close with the bride and groom. We have already spoken privately with these guests

Question

How should I get around?

Answer

Guests will need to drive to the welcome event on Friday and there is plenty of parking available on site. There will be shuttle transportation from the Best Western Culpeper Inn the day of the wedding, but guests may also drive to the venue. Our venue is down a gravel road, off of Sperryville Pike which is a winding two-lane road. We want you to have fun at the wedding, but please be sure to have a safe way home.

Question

What COVID-19 precautions will be in place?

Answer

We strongly recommend being vaccinated and boosted ahead of our wedding to keep everyone as safe as possible. We also recommend that guests get tested for COVID-19 24-48 hours before the wedding. If you are not feeling well on the day of the wedding or were recently exposed to COVID-19, we will miss you but please do not attend. The event will be approximately 120 people. Masks are not required but guests are very welcome to wear them if they prefer.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Katy is calling it "comfortable cocktail". Sundresses, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, dress pants, khakis, and button downs are all fair game! Please no stilettos, as the ceremony is outside and the reception is in an antique barn (with floors that will probably give you splinters if you take your shoes off).

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Friday evening is a low of 45 degrees. We're planning on having a bonfire, but please dress warmly if you plan to come hangout! Saturday looks lovely, will a high of 73 degrees and sunny. Perhaps bring a jacket for the evening!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

July 1st, 2022. We are planning our wedding from Utah, so we'd like to know guest count farther ahead of time. If you need to change your RSVP after the deadline, please do so ASAP so we can update our guest count.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to bring a plus one to the wedding. Our venue has a strict guest limit, but if we are able to make it happen, we will do our best!

Question

Will there be options for people with dietary restrictions or preferences?

Answer

Please note these preferences on the RSVP form and we will work with our caterer to make sure you are accommodated.
