Matron of Honor
Like-minded in our love of truth and adventure, it doesn't feel like we are 3 years apart. She has always invited her little sister "in" on her life. I hope I can one day be as vulnerable and strong as she is.
Maid of Honor
She is my oldest sister and my biggest champion. Incredibly fair-minded and yet always on my side. She has protected me since childhood, and encouraged and blessed me more than she realizes.
Bridesmaid
I first met Eva, Josh's middle sister, when Josh was helping me move down to Texas. Eva was the one who told Josh to go for it when he was considering asking me out, and has since been gracious in her vetting of me as her younger brother's future wife. Thank you, Eva! I know you will continue to lift us before the Lord and encourage us in our marriage <3
Bridesmaid
She has been an older sister to me since the early 2000s in Redding, California. I wonder if she knows how much she embodies my ideals for womanhood and being an excellent human being.
Bridesmaid
Since I moved to Longview, we've really enjoyed yoga class and our church community group together. I'm thankful for her uplifting and empathetic attitude and honest and intelligent conversation. So grateful for this solid sister in Christ!
Best Man
The man, the myth, the legend. Chris is a classic man. His tastes are fine and his skills are many. Chris and I became fast friends in college. With similar backgrounds as TCKs, we were able to hit it off immediately. Spending countless hours discussing life and our place in the world, we bonded. We spent many nights pouring out our innermost thoughts and feelings to each other, sharing both in laughter and tears. I'm so glad to call this man my friend and that I have the privilege to have him by my side on this momentous occasion.
Groomsman
The man that shouldn't be messed with! Yet underneath the outside layer is a heart of gold and a true and loyal friend. Andrew and I struggled through college together. or I struggled and he helped pull me along haha. we met at a Church event, and honestly I don't think either of us got along at first. But somehow we became great friends. Andrew has a heart for the broken people of the world and has a thirst for truth that is unparalleled by any I have met to this day. He strives to find the truth even in pain. Through music, hunting, theology classes, and late night discussions we have become friends for life. I know if I ever need anything Andrew will do whatever it takes to help me if he can.
Groomsman
One of my oldest friends from China. We grew up together having crazy adventures in our city. Nathan is a friend that I know no matter how much time passes, we will still be friends. He is super adventurous and extremely talented. He has started at least one business and continues to astound me with the cool things he does and will continue to do. There is just to much to put down on such a small note. Looking forward to the years to come and the great things he will do.
Groomsman
Aaron: the most steadfast man I have met. I had the pleasure of getting to know Aaron at Kilgore College. Aaron is a real deal cowboy, teaching me the Southern ways of having fun! We've gone mudding and fishing and played tons of outdoor games. Aaron has a heart of gold. He is kind and generous and will gladly help anyone if he can. God has done some amazing works in and through this man.
Groomsman
Chris and I became friends in Thailand. We both grew up in Asian countries. After I left for college, I didn't honestly think we would see each other again. But we ended up going to LeTourneau together and had some amazing in-depth conversations about what it is to be a TCK and how to cope with life. I spent many nights crashing in his dorm room and pulling all nighters with him. He is a dedicated man with high standards. He encourages me to work harder at everything that I do. I know we will remain close, come what may.
Groomsman
Alex Evans whose heart is pure gold. We met through a Hebrew class at LeTourneau University. That class put us through forging fire. I probably spent over half of my nights at his house studying trying to pass the class. Through that bonding experience, we became kindled deep friendship. Alex is probably the most loyal friend I have ever had. He fights for his friends and those who cannot fight for themselves. He honestly seeks after God and has continued on to higher education in his seeking to spread the kingdom of God. He is a great man that will do a lot of good.
