Lady Bird Lake Trail
The Lady Bird Lake ( i.e Town Lake to Austinites) Trail is a beautiful path that winds itself through downtown Austin giving a great view of the city and its lush surroundings. Go for a walk, run or bike ride and enjoy all the spectacular views Austin has to offer.
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
A natural limestone swimming hole and a popular spot to escape the Texas heat! Barton Springs is spring fed and 68-70 degrees year round, located across the street from Zilker Park.
South Congress Avenue
A very authentically-Austin neighborhood just south of Lady Bird Lake, South Congress is a the perfect place to experience Austin. Explore incredible restaurants, food trailers, shops, live music and cocktail lounges all within walking distance.
Rainey Street Historic District
A neighborhood street in downtown Austin lined with renovated houses turned into bungalow bars and Austin's best food trucks. Rainey St offers the perfect place for a casual drink any time of the day or a quick bite eat. Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden has an incredible Sunday brunch with live music!

Learn all about the great state of Texas and its history. Located in the heart of downtown and free tours offered every 30 minutes Monday-Sunday.
LBJ Presidential Library
Explore the life and times of Lyndon B. Johnson and the era of his administration. The LBJ Library houses more than 45 million pages of historical documents and is located on the grounds of the University of Texas. Open 9:00-5:00 daily.
Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom
The Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom is located in the historic East Austin District just 1 mile from the heart of downtown. Come cool off with one of their nine signature craft beers and grab a bite to eat from the Hot Mess food trailer on site.
Mount Bonnell
A popular lookout point just north of Downtown, Mount Bonnell is one of the highest points in Austin. It offers a great view of the city, its surroundings and Lake Austin. Just a short 5 minute 'hike' (really just stairs) to the top and you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Pro tip: go at sunset to see Mount Bonnell really show off.

A definite favorite of ours, Ramen Tatsu-Ya has the best ramen in the city. And it's right in the heart of South Lamar street, home to lots of shopping, great eats and bars. And of course, the Alamo Drafthouse. (Note: there is usually a line, but it goes quickly)
