A popular lookout point just north of Downtown, Mount Bonnell is one of the highest points in Austin. It offers a great view of the city, its surroundings and Lake Austin. Just a short 5 minute 'hike' (really just stairs) to the top and you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Pro tip: go at sunset to see Mount Bonnell really show off.
A definite favorite of ours, Ramen Tatsu-Ya has the best ramen in the city. And it's right in the heart of South Lamar street, home to lots of shopping, great eats and bars. And of course, the Alamo Drafthouse. (Note: there is usually a line, but it goes quickly)
