FAQs

A few questions answered ahead of the date!
Question

When is it?

Answer

We haven't booked it yet! But we are hoping on having a ceremony between the 24th and 28th of October 2022. We will let you know as soon as we know!

Question

Why have you got a save the date when you haven't booked the venue?

Answer

We haven't booked the venue as yet and may not do this! We will however have, at a minimum, a wedding party on a beach on the island of Phu Quoc. We know this won't be the extravagant ceremony we had previously had in mind but being on a paradise island with close friends and family is equally important and memorable for us.

Question

Are you expecting a gift?

Answer

Definitely not! Your gift would be coming out to the paradise tropical island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam on short notice to celebrate our special day with us! Who could ask for more!?

Question

Are you expecting us to pay to get to the wedding?

Answer

Plain and simply, yes.. we don't have the money to fly everyone over to Vietnam. But we are hoping you'll make a holiday out of it and explore the country yourself before or after our big day! It's a beautiful place and very cheap!

Question

Where are we supposed to stay?

Answer

I will be updating the Travel page in due course, watch this space, we will be recommending hotels/airbnbs on various budgets!

Question

We have a child/children, who will look after them on the planned events (ie. Stag and Hen do's)?

Answer

We will do our Stag and Hen do's on different days so partners and/or friends/family can look after the children when either of us are out!

Question

How much are flights from London to Vietnam?

Answer

On average it ranges from around £500-£700 for an economy ticket with a range of airlines.

Question

How much are flights to and from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City?

Answer

Internal flights are very cheap in Vietnam. The two main airlines are Vietnam Airlines and Viet Jet with return flights from £35 return!

Question

How much is accommodation and how do we book it?

Answer

Depends on where you stay! We have researched it will be around £10-20 per room if don't mind staying in a basic room with air con (this will include breakfast and most places have pools and if not the beach is minutes away instead!) or anything up to £100 per room if you want to splurge. We will be suggesting places to stay closer to the date. If you'd like us to book your accommodation we can do this for you we may be able to get discount on bulk bookings! We can discuss this closer to the date.

Question

How much should we save to go to Vietnam?

Answer

We suggest you start saving if you havnt already. We have researched it should be a minimum of £900 per person for a week (including the return flights from UK), For 2 weeks a minimum of £1200 would be ideal. We will be adding accommodation suggestions in due course, watch this space.
