TRAVEL ADVICE

Helpful tips/recommendations

Hi all! We wanted to put together a pack of helpful tips and recommendations in order for you guys to prepare for coming out to Vietnam for our big day 😊 As there are still some light restrictions in place we wanted to give you some information to ease your minds. We will continue to monitor and change this post accordingly.... Vietnam currently accepts the UK covid passport for us to enter the country. (minimum 2 jabs needed). We must carry travel insurance that covers treatment costs associated with COVID-19 with a minimum liability of $10,000. Anyone over 2 years old must have evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.  Before arriving we must fill out a health declaration. Download a COVID-related app as during the first 10 days, all arrivals are required to monitor their health and notify medical staff if they show symptoms of Covid. A travel visa is required if you're staying over 14 days. (however, you may need this is you're not a UK passport holder). Facemasks will be mandatory anywhere inside, such a shopping centres and theatres. Social distancing is no longer required. There are no longer any quarantine measures in place. With regards to booking hotels, make sure to book hotels with a full free cancellation policy up until 24-48 hours before. (booking.com is good for this) For booking flights, I would suggest booking directly with the airline and booking on a credit card. It gets complicated through travel agents and even though it's likely £50 cheaper per person, it really isn't worth the hassle (trust us we've been there and done that!!). Booking travel insurance requires you to read the fine print, look at compare websites such a comparethemarket, most will not pay for changes in travel restrictions but if you book your flights direct, the airline will cover this, just read above. If you want/need a visa as you think you'll be staying more than 14 days (lucky you!) see this link here https://vietnamvisa.govt.vn/vietnam-tourist-visa/ Anything else we've missed let us know! We can't wait to get out there again 🙌 Love from Us xxx

Sticking To a Date!

Phu Quoc - October 2022

Hello everyone, New update from us! Firstly we wanted to thank everyone for being so patient with us, it's been a roller coaster globally with the pandemic and now with what's happening in the Ukraine.. For us, it's played on our emotions but we have finally decided to do this despite everything. It's now covid and war permitting... however we are hoping to, at the very minimum, fly out to Vietnam and to the island of Phu Quoc to celebrate with you all. It may not be the extravagant beach ceremony we had previously hoped for but a wedding party on an island with all our closest family and friends was all we really wanted regardless. ❤ We will be booking our tickets to Vietnam at the end of June/ beginning on July for those who are still eager to attend. I know this isn't the firm commitment some of you were hoping for as there are still things outside of our control, but we will be doing this and we both still hope you can join us and celebrate our love with us. We will be sending our save the dates shortly! Love from us xxx

Our Story

November 2015 to now

We first met in November 2015, our love blossomed straight away, we had big plans to travel around the globe and party at the many festivals around the country! And we did! We went to Cuba, Latvia and Morocco, we partied our nights away at several festivals with you, our friends & family; George even got tickets for his first Glastonbury! In November 2017 Katy found out she was carrying a baby, our boy Julius James! With the help of you, our family & friends, we navigated the unknown and our happy and healthy boy Julius was born in June 2018. Our plans of travelling and festivals didn't change too much since Julius' arrival; after all we went to Vietnam with him at 5 months old! Soon after coming back from Vietnam we celebrated new year's when George proposed! I said 'yes'... We also had plans to visit the US and Katy's Dad, and got tickets for our first proper camping festival, Glastonbury! Unfortunately, Covid hit and all our plans for 2020 were stumped... in the months that went by, you, our friends & family, are what held us together in those strange times. But we saved our money and are soon to buy our first home together! That brings us to today; our adventure doesn't end here, we still have many more adventures to come and that includes our big day! We'd love for you to help us celebrate this milestone. We've moved the date! We'll be saying "I do" between 24th and the 28th of October 2022! Please keep these dates free. See our FAQs for more information.
