Matron of Honor
Janice and Katrina became inseparable when they met in their freshman dorm at the University of Virginia. They planned all their college courses together and spent a lot of weekends studying (and dancing) the night away. They also magically discovered their passion and bravery to pursue careers in NYC together. Janice, thank you for being here for me on this special day (and all the other days too over the past two decades).
Best Man
Jaime was born exactly three years and a day after Bill. The brothers shared birthday parties and bedrooms, and they were regularly dressed as twins by their mother. Though their paths diverged during adolescence, today they both have advanced degrees and blossoming careers, and to everyone's relief, they're both settling down. Jaime is hard at work planning his own wedding in 2020. #BarkerBoysBeatTheOdds
Bridesmaid
Katherine was alongside Katrina as they started high school and college together. She endured the hardships of being Katrina's much tidier roommate throughout all four years at UVA along with all the funny memories that those days brought. Katherine, you are a beautiful mix between the strongest women I know and the absolute sweetest. Thank you for being there for me in every capacity.
Groomsman
Bob and Bill became friends while rehearsing the high school play "Antigone", and their friendship led to a collaboration that produced several plays of their own. They spent much of their youth driving the streets of Chicago while discussing everything under the sun. Today Bob and his wife Sarah live in Michigan with their three kids. Bob keeps his creative spirit alive through his blog, “Bob’s Corner.”
Bridesmaid
Meera and Katrina became fast friends when they spent nearly every single day together at Harvard Business School. Studying, laughing and sometimes crying, Meera has seen Katrina at her best, and at her worst, and supported her unconditionally through and through. Meera, you bring fun and positivity wherever you go and are the best sidekick for ice cream outings that a gal can ask for!
Groomsman
Connor is Bill's only nephew, and like his uncle, he's a sharp wit, determined individualist, and creative spirit. Together they share memories of backyard treasure hunts (the treasure being buried ahead of time to ensure success), a love of '70s punk rock, and a propensity for awkward selfies. Connor is currently working on his undergraduate education while also making time for his creative writing.
Officiant
Maggie and Katrina became colleagues first and close friends shortly after. Maggie is also who encouraged the Bridge to go out with the Groom. What intuition, Katrina should have listened to her sooner! Maggie, thank you for always welcoming us into your home. We feel so lucky to have spent our holidays on the west coast with such a warm and caring family, and we are honored to have you standing up with us on our wedding day.
