We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you.
Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall
E Main St, Charlottesville, VA 22902
Charlottesville’s red-bricked pedestrian mall is packed with shops, art galleries, bookstores and coffee shops. It's also where we took our engagement photo shoot!
The Corner at University of Virginia
1501 University Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903
Check out the Corner, a strip of shops and restaurants adjacent to UVA’s Grounds where Kat spent her undergrad. If you have time for only one stop, pick up a chewy bagel with schmear at Bodo's.
Thomas Jefferson's Monticello
931 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902
Visit the former home and estate of Thomas Jefferson. Admire the architecture and gardens, but we don't recommend misplacing your keys and staying for the guard dogs after dark!
Carter Mountain Orchard
1435 Carters Mountain Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22902
You're in luck, fall is the best time to visit Carter Mountain Orchard. Pick fresh fruit, drink cider and eat some homemade apple cider donuts. Local tip, get there early for the donuts!
Shenandoah National Park
524 Spotswood Trail, Stanardsville, VA 22973
The best views in town! Take a road trip through Skyline Drive or hike the Blue Ridge Mountains. When you're not gazing at the mountains (famous for their bluish color), keep your eyes peeled for wildlife - we even spotted a bear on our last trip!
