Cartecay river experience has 2 river tubing experiences. One is a relaxing lazy river while the other is a more exciting experience featuring class 1 and class 2 rapids. Each experience is only $15 per person and includes the tube rental.
Helen Georgia is a cute Bavarian town located in the mountains of Georgia on the Chattahoochee River; it is about an hour drive from Blue Ridge. There are many shops and German restaurants to visit and even a river tubing adventure there as well called "Cool River Tubing".
Starting at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia, riders take a four-hour, 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. The first leg of the adventure takes riders on a one hour trip to the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee, nestled deep in the mountains on each state’s line. Passengers enjoy all the towns have to offer during a two-hour layover before taking the one-hour return trip through the scenic forest and back to the depot in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Mercier Orchard is a world-famous farm and orchard founded in 1943. There is a lovely market with fresh fruits, pastries, wines, hard ciders, and more. They also offer U-Pick events where you are can take a ride out to the fields towed by one of their tractors and you can pick your very own fruits.
The roof is a nice, casual rooftop restaurant overlooking downtown Ellijay. They have great food and drinks. While there you must ask about "The Door".
